Called to Serve

"Therefore, if ye have desires to serve God ye are called to the work ... and faith, hope, charity and love, with an eye single to the glory of God, qualify him for the work." - D&C 4:3-5

hola familia. pues este semana fue muy bien. whoops i forgot i was wrting in spanish haha this week we had two baptisms . it was a really good week for us. things are going so well in the ward that i guess they are going to bring in another companionship to our ward so this ward is giong to explode. we are working really hard and we find new people everyday that the Lord has prepared for us. i am really happy that i am here. i have learned a lot and i keep learning more everyday. my companion and i get a long really good too. we have a lot in common. as far as interesing things that happened this week,there was a lot of rain most of the week. and so it was pretty good. i like the rain a lot here. and then something funny that happened is my companion found a creepy barbie doll head that had all of its hair cut off so he would always put on his desk looking right at me and it was pretty creepy so i moved it and then he kept putting it on my desk or made it so it was looking at me and then one time he put it on the toilet so when i was about to go to the bathroom it scared me and so it was pretty funny and then the next day he took the shower first and he put the doll in the shower too so it scared me again and the next day when i went to shower i was expecting to see it and it wasnt there so i thought oh i guess hes just done messing around and then i went to get my soap out of the container and the head was in there and i screamed hahahhahahahaah of course it was a manly scream maybe more of a yell but he got it out of me hehe but yeah we are havginga  pretty good time working hard losing our selves in the work. thats about all that has happçend this week. well i hope things are all good for you guys back there. with school starting and all. i guess if i were to tell you one thing this week for spiritual advice, i woudl say to read the article by elder oaks in the liahona or the ensign about how revalation works. im prety sure its in august. yall can really learna lot from that. revelation is really important and i know we would be lost with out it. well i love you guys a lot and iñll send some pics.oh yeah i am really happy for cameron too. he is going to be a great missionary. well adios

8/24/2013.  Elder Coffman and Elder Peterson at a Baptism.

“Enrique. he is a great man with a sweet spirit. he loves his family and his wife has been waiting a long time for him to be baptized. i love completing families because then they can be sellado in the temple in one year and that is what this work is all about. its the best thing to see a family get completed.”

con carino, elder yayayaayayayayayayayayayayayayayayahhhh(;

Janel's Note:  With Stephen being very busy up at Utah State I just google translated the above Spanish part of Elder Coffman's letter.  Hopefully most of the words are translated correctly.

 oh and sister aurelia, because hopefully you can read English lol because this is a man who baptized. he is very noble. then hopefully you are well there in valladolid. I pray for you and your family every day. hopefully who are still going to the chapel and we're having their homes night. always remember to pray too. for I love you so much to all of you. I know a family here that are about to be sealed and I know this is what God wants for you. the thing is that the devil does not want this so that he will put many tests to prevent them to do so but you will be given nuncan up. never lose faith in God because he never lose faith in us. This week we sang the hymns 202 and 42 and made me think usteds. if you feel sad sing this song because the music is very powerful. are the most powerful people I've met in my mission and we will see in the future. bye

fondly,
elder yayayaayayayayayayayayayayayayayayahhhh(;
