hola famila. so to clear up some things. elder juarez left caucel and now it is just elder peterson and me. i say t2o sons because my first son was elder oliver in valladolid. things are going really good here in caucel. we have had a lot of good people show up and we had another baptism. i am really glad i AM out here in the field. i love being a missionary. its really good way to learn more. i really like helping people have more faith because then they can have a lot better aspect on the life like it says in ether 12 4. i know that is really true. and the real reason why i didn{t write a letter really long last week was because i spent more time writing the people that really need the something. i know you guys are strong and i feel like i can do a lot of good writing other people... but don{t worry they are in our family  because it like when the Pharisees asked Christ why he was eating with the publicanos and the pecadores and he said the healthy don{t need a medic. but i{ll try to think of more things to say during the week i usually did that but these past weeks have been super duper busy haha but thats the most important thing. this week i really appreciated the principle of hard work that yáll taught me. its something necesary if we want to be successful and i really do love working. i well i hope you konw all is well and adios

mother thats interesting about the food. i wish we could eat healthier but i feel like ive made a lot of good friends here and they always give us food everytime we meet haha i guess they know i love to eat. well i guess its ok because now my comp and i leave in the morning to run every day that we don’t do service so its prettty good haha adios

michelle, you should read in d and c 63. it talks about signs and faith. ask stephen. he showed it to me a while ago. i{m glad you felt like that. one time i  was really wondering if i have a testimony too because i see how hard it is for some people to get one and all the stuff our investigators have to do to get one and i think about how it seems like i got one way easy and sometimes i doubt if i would be a memeber if i wasn{t born the way i was born in the church and all. but then i remembered that mother and daddy taught us from the beginning that this is true and right. sometimes we wonder if we really believe the stuff because we never doubted but like you said even one feeling can make us know its true.  and believe me if you see the way other religions are...even though there are great people they are just so lost. sometimes i feel prideful about our church because it is so perfect and i guess thats ok if i use that pride and my testimony to help others to come unto Christ and use it to help me to love them more well i hope that made sense. i dont like writing a lot because sometimes i read what i wrote and it doesnt come out the way i wanted to but i pray that you feel what i say. adios

Janel's note:  Below are some excerpts from a email  Elder Coffman sent that has some good advice for anyone who wants to strengthen their testimony.

"I guess you want to know something that can strengthen your testimony. well the best way is to read the Book of Mormon but to really read it and not just look at the letters if that makes sense. try and understand what it is and try to understand a certain theme. the theme could be something that is something that you are struggling with or something that you have always wanted to know. if you keep the commandments more, you´ll be able to feel the spirit stronger and you´ll be able to receive personal revelation."

"I know there are a lot of problems and hard stuff we go through but the gospel is the best thing for you."

hola familia! well its pretty good to hear from y{all. i{m glad that things are going well. i cant believe michelle is going to be 16 and yes i am glad i am down herein mexico. they have areally cool way of singing happy bday here, but i don{t remember how to sing it but happy bday hobe. and i like the pics of the healthy food. i miss eating the healthy food too. i think i{ve gaineda little bit of weight in this area and its probably just because the food here is pretty greasy and because we have made some pretty good friends so people always invite us to eat haha. this week was really good. we should have a baptism this next week so we{ll send some pics of that. well i don{t really have any funny or interesting stories this week. as far as a little message, i didn{t really have time to think of something really special to say but one thing i noticed in this week was the importance of prayer. i was praying a lot for some extra blessings concerniente los investigadores en la capilla and so i was praying a lot and when we got there there wasn{t any one there but i kept praying and trusting in the lord and not doubting and when the sacrament started, we had 6 God really does love us and he knows how to bless us. we just have to ask first. remember that we don{t deserve any blessing that we receive. we really are less than the dust of the earth, but God loves us so much that he blesses us. if you want to feel more humble and realize how much God loves us, you should read the speech of rey benjamin in mosiah 2,3,4,5. I especially love these chapeters. well i love you guys mucho. adios

mother, my presidents name is president sergio garcia.  he{s from mexico. i don{t remember what state. his wife is from idaho, but already speaks spanish. and how were you writing aury l_______. in spanish haha tell her i said oh yeahhhhhh! haha its a joke. and tell her that you always say si and she'll probably get really happy. thats a cool story about the biking there was a little abuelita that was saying something similar about how she used to take a lot of pills to feel better but the doctor told her to just run a little and lift little weights and she did it and now she feels a lot better. i didn{t have another copy of that pic. sorry but i love you a lot oh and sometimes we wake up at 5 30 doesn’t seem like a lot but 1 hour makes a big difference haha sometimes i get tempted to take a little nap but i know that if i do that i will make my father in heaven really sad because i won’t be sacrificing all that i have for him.

daddy i always wanted you to have a short hair cut because i wanted you to be like me. you{ll have to send me a pic. i probably won’t recognize you haha i broke a pipe with a pick a couple of weeks ago and i was thinking about the sprinklers so thats funny you have been working on them. thanks for teaching me how to do stuff with my hands and work. it helps us a lot when we do service and i really like that scripture. i{ll share it with someone today.

michelle happy bday again have a fun bday party.

wow i didn{t even realize last week was fourth of the july haha well i guess thats what you get for being in mexico. its pretty crazy to think that it is almost a year from now when i came home for a bit. it seems like a lot longer because i think of all the things i have learned in this year. it has been an amazing experience and it will continue to be. that sounds really fun the things you did on the fourth.  right now on the radio it is playing a greenday song from mothers biking track that she would always listen too and also this week i heard a justin biber song and i was like nooooooooo! i went so long with out hearing it haha but sorrry for the random thought but i learned something really important this week. it has to do with ministering and the sacerdocio and service. we were working and working and working and couldn{t find anyone or get any exito to teach so we decided to ask a member and he didn{t know either so we were leaving and he said that there was a guy who they just operated on and so we went to go see him and hes a less active and he really enjoyed the visit and we blessed him. at first i was in a hurry to go and teach another person, but then the thought came to my mind that we need to ministrant and make him feel better because he was sick and afflicted. so wqe stayed there and listened to their conversion story and invited them to church and they came. and after the lesson, it was so special because i felt really happy and full ofthe spirit. and it was so fullfulling. eventhough the day was really hard and everything, that one experience made it all worth it. and it wasa even better for him and his wife because the went to the capilla. so that was the first thing i learnedc and then i learned about service too. this week almost everyday we did a service project where we had to wake up an hour early, which doesnt seem like much but to a missionary, every hour of sleep is needed and appreciated, but we did the service of chapeando and painting and stuff and we felt really happy doing that too. then i reading some stuff by brigham young how the gospel blesses the families when we believe it but even more when we live it and i realized that we were reallyliving it in thisweek. we were ministering and serving. doing exactly what Jesus did. we were helping people believe more in christ and his power. we came to serve, not to be served. and so i invite all of you to serve someone this week and to minister unto them just like Jesus did. there are some really good scriptures you should read for family night. mosiah 2 17, mateo20 26-28, marcos 10 45 mosiah 3 19 mateo 19 14 mateo 23 11-12, mateo 25 31-45. they are all really important and one thing i learned is that the service is a great way to show humility and if we want to gain respect or or conficince love, we need to be more humble and serve. the service is the only true way to measure humility- james e. talmage

love ya olots
