Called to Serve

"Therefore, if ye have desires to serve God ye are called to the work ... and faith, hope, charity and love, with an eye single to the glory of God, qualify him for the work." - D&C 4:3-5

well it was a really good time talking to you guys yesterday! i loved it. thanks for all talking to me. today when I was studying, i read a little quote from Howard W. Hunter. he siad ¨"If our lives and our faith are centered on Jesus Christ and his restored gospel, nothing can ever go permanently wrong. on the other hand, if our lives are not centered on the savior and his teachings, no other success can ever be permanently right¨ i read this and i really felt like i should share it with you guys. try to put Christ in the center of everything you do.  He is our Lord and our master and he lived the perfect ejemplo for us to follow. i know that if we follow his example, we will never be sad or go astray from the straight and narrow path. one of the modern day prophets we have invited us to make Christ the center of our lives. he said that doing this will not be a religious extremisim, it will only be the way that converted people live. everything that exists in the world is evidence that there is a God so we can easily make our lives evidence that there is a God and that Jesus is the Christ. remember that when we were baptized we took upon ourselves the name of Christ and we promised to be testigos de el en evervry momemnt even unto the death. try to live up to the baptismal covenant that you made. sometimes we get caught up in the other covenants that we make and the other things that the world presents to us, but the baptismal covenant is really the door that we enter and we can renovar this covenant every domingo. try and live up to the covenant that you made and do your best all the time and Christ’s grace will make up for the rest.

well i love you all and most of the time what gives me strength during the hard days is knowing that i  have an eternal family. adios

brock i´m glad you are learning a lot about the Gospel! it is really awesome. i really started to like lifting when i was your age too. remember that when working out, 90% of what you do and of the results you´ll get comes from good nutrition so try and eat healthier and you´ll get stronger. as far as cool experiences go, we are helping 1 family out right now and the Gospel has really changed their lives. before, they never ate together and never really talked but now they all love eachothera lot and they we baptized the parents as well. well brock, i´m really proud of you and I’m glad you are considering a mission. you´ll be a great missionary. i know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and that his gospel brings true happiness to us in this life. i know that the book of mormon is true as well. well adios.
